Adrian Bauze graduated from the University of Adelaide Medical School in 1994, and commenced his surgical training in South Australia in 1996. Adrian’s first experience of the West Country came in 1999 when he was appointed as overseas registrar at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter. Following this he returned to Adelaide in 2000 and entered advanced training in Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2004 Adrian completed his training and was appointed as locum visiting consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In July 2004 he returned to Exeter to undertake a fellowship in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. Whilst in Exeter he also undertook research into techniques of component extraction in revision hip replacement. Mr Bauze returned to Adelaide in 2005 to undertake a Sports Surgery and Arthroplasty Fellowship. Following this he plans to establish his practice in Adelaide.
