I was born in 1972 in Edinburgh, Scotland and migrated to Australia as a 6 year old. I completed my medical degree through the University of Melbourne in 1995 and my advanced training in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2004. After a year as a locum consultant in Melbourne I started my Fellowships. Firstly a knee surgery position with Prof Johan Bellemens in Leuven, Belgium, then the Exeter Hip Fellowship, followed by a knee fellowship at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol, UK. I then undertook a sports knee Fellowship at the Jonathan Webb Clinic, also in Bristol UK, and a revision hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship with Drs Gross and Bachstein at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada. I am now back in Melbourne working as a consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincents Hospital and the Northern Hospital. I am completing my Certificate in Medical Education.
