| Sophie joined the Exeter Hip Team in 2002. Having qualified as a nurse in 1989 she then went on to study Multimedia in Cardiff. On completing her degree she worked for a cd-rom and web publisher, where she gained the position of Art Director. Sophie then worked for a digital TV company designing interactive interfaces for Sky. Since joining the Hip Team she has been able to combine her medical and media backgrounds, and her role within the Team includes filming and editing operative procedures, creating an archive of media material, and preparing interesting footage of complex cases showing the Exeter techniques. She has also been responsible for collating material for the launch of the new Exeter Hip website and the forthcoming Exeter Hip Book & DVD. |
