Mr A Acharya
Ash qualified from the University of Mumbai, India in 1994. After completing an orthopaedic postgraduate degree in Mumbai, he moved to the U.K. In 2001, he commenced higher surgical training on the Mersey Deanery rotation. In January 2006 he further developed his interest in lower limb arthroplasty by pursuing the Exeter hip fellowship, and whilst there, undertaking research into the mechanical properties of bonding between old and new cement. Following this he did a further fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and arthroplasty in Melbourne with Mr Neil Bergman. Mr. Acharya returned to the northwest in January 2007 to work at Royal Liverpool and Wrightington hospitals prior to taking up a consultant post at Warrington Hospital, Cheshire.
