Peter Hamer trained at the Bradford hospitals School of Physiotherapy, qualifying in 1987. He is a superintendent physiotherapist who joined the Hip Unit fourteen months ago. He has been at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre for four years, previously working in Oxford and London.
His main role is in the pre-assessment of patients coming in for hip and knee surgery, collecting information on pain, function and range of movement. These scores are then used as a comparison for patients both pre and post-operatively.
