Mr A Patten

Andrew Patten graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1992, and commenced his advanced surgical training in Queensland in 1999. He completed his training in 2002.  In 2003 Andrew was appointed as full time consultant at the PrinceCharlesHospital in Brisbane. He worked at this elective arthroplasty hospital for one year. Andrew’s first experience of the West Country came in October 2003 when he was appointed as overseas fellow at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter for twelve months. He undertook further training in primary and revision hip and knee joint replacement surgery. In November 2004 he travelled to Oxford for a further six month fellowship in knee arthroplasty. He intends to return to Brisbane in early 2006 to establish his practice.
